The stages of labour, safe delivery practices, and essential steps in immediate newborn care.

Postnatal care for mothers and babies, including how to prevent common complications.

How to care for newborns and infants, including breastfeeding, immunization, and growth monitoring.

How to identify, manage, and refer common childhood illnesses.

The importance of proper nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and early childhood.

How community-based interventions and health education improve maternal and child health outcomes.

How health workers, families, and communities can support safe motherhood and child survival.
By the end of the course, students will have the skills and knowledge to support mothers, newborns, and young children in both clinical and community settings.
